Sunday 29/01/12 KO 11am - League Match Home Vs Mount Nod

Match Report: Top of the league clash and a great game played by both teams. The first half was evenly contested with Mount Nod shading the possession but not really creating many chances. half-time 0-0. The second half both teams upped the tempo and Mount Nod went ahead through a corner, with Caludon not clearing the ball and a player drilling the ball in from 10 yds. Caludon got straight back into the game a few minutes later with a ball placed over the top which Kieran raced onto and nicked in to head over the on-rushing goalie 1-1. Caludon kept giving too many corners away needlessly and they paid the price when Mount Nod scored again from a more or less identical corner as their first. 1-2. Caludon never gave up and for the last 10 minutes kept plugging away, creating 2 or 3 scoring chances. Kieran having a great game and running non stop for every ball. The pressure paid off as with almost the last kick of the game, McCoist let a 20 yarder go and it flew into the top of the net. A draw was a fair result, now 2 more wins and we will finish runners up. Big game against Binley next week and then final game against Brinklow on then 19th.
